The Institut for Applied Theatre Studies / Giessen.

 

The Institute for Applied Theatre Studies arose at the end of the 1970’s based on the initiative of English Literature Studies. It was conceived as an institution offering an alternative educational programme, where work would be based both in the practical and the theoretical. It has a long tradition in theatre education and its students play an important role in contemporary theatre discussion as well as in international scene of performing arts.
