Université du Québec / Montreal: Contemporary Dance Department and École Supérieure de Théâtre.

 

At the end of the 70’s, during the period of tranquil révolution in Québec, the provincial government began to modernize its institutions and focus on its cultural identity. Thanks to the subventions of this government and by intitiative of several teachers who were activ in the fields of education and praxis of performing arts, a centre was created from which the Contemporary Dance Department and the École Supérieure de Théâtre would later emerge, the postgraduate programmes of which are described in the following reports.
